Bellows also raised regulatory timing as a factor: "the state of Oregon has adopted some California rules... being imposed through the DEQ," and he said dealers may face inventory constraints beginning in January, creating urgency to complete the purchase sooner rather than later.
A commissioner moved to approve the purchase from Kenworth Sales of Pasco for $175,000; the motion was seconded and commissioners recorded "aye." The board approved the purchase.
