District counsel explained to the board that "a federal court issued a decision vacating the federal 2024 final rule of title 9," and that the 2024 regulations are thus not effective in Minnesota. The board was presented the model policy 05/22 the district plans to implement while awaiting any further federal guidance. "So it's the board will be approving tonight is the, model policy 5 22 that we're expecting the 2020 final rule, for title line organizations," the presenter said when explaining the district's position.
Board members asked clarifying questions before leadership called for a voice vote. Members responded "Aye," and the motion passed.
