County presents draft FY25–29 capital improvement plan; staff to return for adoption

Amanda Amos, the county's contract and procurement specialist, presented the draft FY25–29 capital improvement plan and demonstrated the county's digital CIP viewer. She said the FY25 projects align with the FY25 budget approved April 23, and that years beyond FY25 are planning projections that do not commit the board to future appropriations.
Amos pointed supervisors to funding-source breakdowns, procurement thresholds (projects over certain thresholds will require competitive bids), and the ability to run custom reports on individual project timelines and total project costs. She cited one proposed FY26 project: an in-house landfill-operation solution, and offered to provide printed copies of the CIP (the digital book runs more than 400 pages).
Amos asked the board to place the CIP on a future agenda for formal adoption; she and staff offered to provide additional reports, printed versions, or project-level data on request. Several supervisors confirmed understanding and asked for the CIP to return for formal adoption at a later meeting.
Next steps: staff will return to present the adoption resolution and provide requested custom reports or printed CIP materials.
