NextGen students return from DC trip; will showcase game-design projects

Isaiah, a NextGen leader from Danvers High School, reported that four NextGen students traveled to Washington, D.C., visited the Holocaust Museum and the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and documented the experience for a planned game-design process.
Isaiah told the committee the trip included museum visits, reflection and note-taking to inform games that communicate museum experiences and social-justice themes. He said the club meets weekly, focuses on leadership development and game design, and plans to show early game prototypes at the MLK Day event.
Committee members praised the students' work and encouraged the group to continue sharing games at public events and library programs. School liaison Janelle Ridley and others thanked the team and noted community donors who supported the trip were reimbursed and the trip expenses have been paid.
