Separately, South Central Planning and Development Commission requested parish resolutions to obtain engineering services needed to complete five transportation alternative program applications (sidewalks and park projects). Jurors discussed match requirements (estimated 10–15% per successful application) and approved a $2,400 initial payment for updated cost estimates and engineering checks on three priority projects so applications can be finalized.
The jury also received a cost‑to‑completion update for Paradise sewer‑plant improvements from Infinity Engineering, which identified remaining engineering and construction dollars and agreed to email a full breakdown to jurors for follow up.
Next steps: engineering staff to finalize contract paperwork, proceed with site visits proposed for mid‑January 2025 and return updated cost estimates and RFQ timelines to the jury.
