The mayor and council acknowledged city staff, the Arts & Culture Commission and volunteers who organized the day’s cultural programs and an art exhibit drawn from the sister city.
Council members invited the public to join a short reception with cake and coffee after the ceremony and thanked staff for months of planning. The ceremonial portion concluded with a brief recess and the council returned to routine business.
