Commission hears brief updates on Wilderness Shores, 'Dom' project and private-road standards

During the meeting’s project-update portion, commissioners reported that the Wilderness Shores development includes a proposed new section of roughly 60 townhomes that appears to be at the architectural-review stage and not imminent for commission action this year. "It looks like it's in it's still an ARC, about the addition of the new... it's a 60 townhomes," a commissioner said.
Staff reported the 'Dom' application has not yet gone to the Board of Supervisors; staff said they have reached out to the applicant and are working to resolve an entrance issue but described limited applicant response. Commissioners asked whether the application can be removed from the agenda if there is prolonged applicant silence; staff said the board still needs to make a decision.
Private-road standards were described as a back-burner item that will likely be addressed during the ordinance rewrite. Commissioners said they have consulted residents and local practitioners informally but have not completed formal proposals.
