Councilors also moved to abate multiple nuisance and motor-vehicle nuisance conditions on private properties. For each property, staff described prior notice and attempts to contact property owners. The governing body approved the following resolutions by voice vote: a motor vehicle nuisance abatement at 210 Conkling Avenue (resolution 3131-2024), a nuisance abatement for property at 1211 North Eighth Street (resolution 3132-2024), an environmental nuisance abatement (resolution 3133-2024, referenced again for 210 Conkling), and an abatement at 1611 Eleventh Street (resolution 3134-2024). Staff said abatement costs incurred by the city may be charged against the affected lots or parcels.
Each nuisance item was introduced by staff with the option for property owners to request a hearing; staff reported certified notices had been sent and no hearing requests were received. Motions to approve each resolution were moved, seconded and passed by voice vote.
