Planning Commission minutes approved; January meeting canceled; commissioners discuss calendar and attendance

At the Dec. 18, 2024 meeting, the City of Lincoln Planning Commission approved its consent agenda, which included the minutes. Vice Chairman Gilbert moved to approve the consent agenda and Commissioner Jerry Johnson seconded; the commission carried the motion by voice vote.
Staff announced that the January planning commission meeting will be canceled and that commissioners should expect a full calendar in February; staff suggested July and December will likely be dark months in the calendar. Commissioner Hatch reported that the Village 5 annexation was approved unanimously by LAFCO at a recent special meeting and noted the city will become busier and larger as a result.
Commissioners asked about attendance consequences when meetings are canceled; staff clarified that canceled meetings do not count against attendance thresholds and that the universe of required meetings would decrease to nine if adopted. Commissioners exchanged holiday greetings and adjourned.
