Board appoints representative to juvenile commission, formalizes administrator bank signers and honors EMS chief

The board also adopted two resolutions naming James Taylor (county administrator) and Donna Cogswell (assistant county administrator) as cosigners on county accounts at Atlantic Union and CNB banks. Separately, the board presented the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors Employee Excellence Award to Blake Byrd for outstanding performance during a time of transition and formally recorded the award in the meeting minutes after a motion and second. Board members commended Byrd and EMS staff for their work on equipment replacements and the medication kit program.
These administrative votes were routine board business; the board did not attach additional conditions to the appointments or resolutions during the meeting.
