At its December meeting Dougherty County commissioners approved multiple consent and procurement items including a sole-source purchase of an on-site fueling and lubrication truck for Solid Waste, renewals of alcoholic beverage licenses for 2025, execution of a lease covering multiple Pate Street properties, and a distribution to employees.
The board accepted a quote from National Equipment Dealers LLC (Lexington, N.C.) to purchase the fueling and lubrication truck for $108,348.47; the funding was available in the Solid Waste machine capital account. The commission also approved the county's recommended alcoholic beverage license renewals for calendar year 2025 as recommended by the local licensing office.
A resolution authorizing a lease between Mandolin, Fussell and Dougherty County for several Pate Street parcels was approved by unanimous consent. The board additionally approved a finance-committee recommendation to distribute $700,260.25 to active employees as of Nov. 15, 2024; funding was allocated across the general fund ($635,673.25), the special services district ($45,213) and the solid-waste enterprise fund ($19,377). All consent items passed without recorded opposition.
