Edgerton council clears routine items: fees, licenses, bids, EV purchases and auction-policy change

In a series of largely noncontroversial actions, the Edgerton Common Council approved multiple routine items during the Nov. 15 meeting.
Key approvals included:
- An amendment to the fee schedule for animal fees (Resolution 27-24), approved by roll call. - An agent change for a liquor and tobacco license (Quick Trip, agent Don Bremer), approved by roll call. - Approval of the lowest responsible bid for painting the library (Wharton & Sons), $3,150, funded from designated 2020 funds. - Authorization to install an EV charger at the Department of Public Works (installation cost estimated at $2,000; chargers supplied with equipment), approved by roll call. - Purchase approval of an EV Ford truck for the DPW from Ewald Automotive Group for $58,019, approved by roll call. - Declaration of a DPW truck as surplus with a minimum bid of $8,000, and approval of multiple surplus-item bids. - Amendment to the auction minimum-bid policy to permit departments to accept bids within 75% of the minimum reserve, granting departments limited discretion to accept lower bids.
Votes on each item were moved, seconded and carried by recorded roll calls with standard quorum. Council members did not record extended debate on these items during the meeting.
