The San Carlos School District Board used part of its Feb. 6 meeting to take several procedural and personnel actions.
Hans explained the sunshine process for public disclosure of bargaining positions before successor negotiations with CSEA and answered board questions about comparable districts used in compensation modeling (Belmont, Millbrae, Burlingame, Pacifica). A board member moved to approve the district’s sunshine proposal for successor negotiations; the motion passed.
The board also approved its consent agenda and revised the board meeting calendar (moves included a Feb. 27 study session and a March 27 retreat) and made appointments to Measure H oversight and the facilities steering committee; each action was recorded as approved by the board.
After adjourning to closed session and reconvening, the board reported out that for items 13a and 13b there was no reportable action. For item 13c the board reported it voted in closed session, 5‑0, to approve a settlement agreement with a classified employee and to accept that employee’s resignation.
Motion and vote details: multiple motions were made and seconded during the meeting; several items were recorded as passing unanimously (5‑0).
