Spooktacular set for Saturday; municipal lot and several streets will be closed, police urge alternate parking

Chief Hoffman told the board that the town’s Spooktacular event will prompt closures and parking changes this weekend. The Municipal North Main/North Queen Street municipal lot will close Friday night and remain closed for the majority of Saturday, and roads including North Queen, Pearl and East Main streets will be affected by closures and detours beginning as early as 8 a.m.
"Just so the public's aware that North Main Street Municipal North Main North Queen Street Municipal lot will be closing Friday night. It will be closing Friday night and will be closed majority of the day on Saturday," Chief Hoffman said. He asked attendees to find alternate parking and warned that detours would be in place on Saturday morning.
The mayor also reminded the public that Spooktacular will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and asked residents to be patient with staff during street closures. Officials directed residents to check the RSPD Facebook page for updates on closures and traffic impacts.
