The City of Edgerton on unanimous roll-call votes introduced and approved first readings of two ordinances to bring a roughly 2-acre parcel into the city and to update the official zoning map.
During the item, Speaker 5 explained that the annexation (Ordinance 24-10) and the rezoning (Ordinance 24-11) are coordinated with the development agreement and the timing of TIF 3. “The TIF District, the development agreement, all of that is all in place, and the timing of all of this is related to the community of the TIF District,” Speaker 5 said, adding that planning commission review delayed earlier action until timing aligned with the TIF schedule. The parcel was described in the meeting record as roughly two acres just east of the hospital.
Council members voted to approve the first readings; subsequent meetings were noted as likely to contain associated items including the TIF district designation and development agreement.
