Michael Thorstein, identified in the hearing as the town mayor, said the proposed CSM is included in the file. After staff read findings and conclusions of law that the request complied with the Polk County comprehensive plan and surrounding land uses, a committee member moved to forward the request to the county board with a recommendation for approval; the motion carried by voice vote.
Next step: the rezone will be transmitted to the county board (the committee suggested placing it on the consent agenda).
