Middletown Township approved the purchase of Microsoft Office 365 under a government plan through Premier Technology at the March 5 meeting. The IT presenter said the township obtained a quote of $40,500 for initial licensing (not to exceed that amount) and budgeted $50,000 for the item this year. He said the recurring subscription cost is expected to be about $36,000 annually and that the government plan complies with CJIS security requirements and keeps data hosted in the United States.
A motion to approve the purchase in an amount not to exceed $40,500 was moved, seconded and carried unanimously.
