Miss Teal Nichols outlined the five requests: a $325,000 application for four police vehicles; a $16,000 request for license plate readers; a $495,000 application covering three public works vehicles identified as replacements for equipment 12–20 years old; a resolution for a fire command vehicle for the Department of Fire and Emergency Management; and a grant application for Parkland Fire Company to acquire four thermal imaging cameras. Nichols told the board that passing the resolutions authorizes staff to apply and that Megha Bandari (name appears with variant spellings in the record) will present the applications to the RDA; awards are typically announced in late November or early December.
The board passed the motion to approve the five resolutions in a single action by voice vote. Staff noted that applications are part of capital budgeting and that exact awards will be reflected in the budget process once the RDA notifies the township of awards.
