Council accepts resignations from filtration authority and Ross Library, names liaisons

At its Oct. 7 meeting the Lock Haven City Council accepted two resignations and moved to fill liaison and representative roles.
One councilor offered their resignation from the Clinton County Water Filtration Authority, saying much of the water consolidation discussion had shifted to the authority board and excluded council voting participation; the resigning member said they would continue to provide updates and attend joint meetings. Council moved to accept the resignation and discussed appointing a council member as a voting representative; Council member Conklin was noted as already serving as a liaison.
Separately, the council received a letter from Wilson Ricardo resigning his city‑appointed seat on the Ross Library Board effective no later than Dec. 31, 2024. The council moved and voted to accept Ricardo’s resignation and discussed timing to fill the vacancy and to handle boards/commissions appointments at the beginning of the year.
Council members also nominated Rick Kaufman for an unspecified appointment and agreed to serve as liaisons to the Clinton County Recreation Authority Board for trail‑system discussions (Council member Brinker and another councilor volunteered). All resignation acceptances and liaison nominations were approved by roll call.
