The applicant said they would work with city staff to follow park rules and complete required paperwork so streets would not need to be closed. Council members pressed for clarification after the agenda listed the event as “all day” but also stated hours of 4–9 p.m.; the applicant confirmed the vendor hours were 4–9 p.m. with setup at 3 p.m.
A motion to approve the request was moved and seconded. Council members recorded as voting in favor included Council member Brandon, Council member Brinker, Council member Conklin, Council member Masorti and Council member Stevenson; one council member texted to say she was on vacation and did not attend.
The permit includes conditions that the organizers coordinate with city staff on required paperwork and park regulations; staff will follow up on compliance and any permits needed for vendors or food trucks.
The council moved on to other agenda items after the vote.
