City staff told Lock Haven City Council that crews fixed three water leaks reported earlier in the day and are cleaning up the affected sites, but the city's boil-water advisory remains in effect. Staff said the advisory will remain until the water system returns two consecutive satisfactory test results.
Officials said the work on the Castaneda tank has been completed and that the tank will be back in service; staff warned that despite the repairs the system still needs confirmatory laboratory results before the advisory can be lifted. The city said it will issue updates on Facebook and on the municipal website.
Residents in affected areas were told they would be notified when testing confirmed the advisory could be lifted.
