The council approved a brownfield agreement with the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality for reuse of property at 310 Fisher Ferry Street, with the stated public benefit of preserving green space and increasing recreational area. The consent package passed on a 7–0 vote.
Staff will pursue the state financing application, finalize the vendor contract per procurement rules, and execute the brownfield reuse process with NCDEQ as described in the consent materials.
