The grant includes a state award of $364,064 and an in‑kind, non‑cash local contribution valued at $10,000 to meet the match requirement. The grant period runs from July 2024 through December 2026 and will fund debris removal on three segments of Jimmy’s Creek and streambank stabilization work on Hamby Creek. Staff said the project is in partnership with the Division Chief of Emergency Management, Sam Wyszynski, and the Piedmont Regional Triad Council of Governments.
The consent agenda containing the STRAP ordinance and several other routine items passed unanimously (6‑0).
