Eastern Summit County planning staff described a conditional use permit application from Washington Irrigation Company to replace an open ditch with a buried pipeline that will convey irrigation water. Staff said the undergrounding reduces losses from flood irrigation, prevents flooding problems, and is consistent with conditional-use criteria for pipelines.
Staff recommended approval with findings and conditions contained in the staff report. Commissioners had no substantive questions and a commissioner moved to approve; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Staff will record conditions of approval in the permit file and coordinate implementation with applicable service providers.
