Council adopts resolution annexing four lots into Mountain Regional Water district

Summit County Council voted to adopt Resolution MRW2020Four-twelve, annexing part of Parcel PPSMC-1A (also called the Last Chance Lot) into the Mountain Regional Water Special Service District. The council convened as the district’s governing board to consider the request and approved the resolution by voice vote.
County staff described the property as a small parcel of roughly 30 acres taken from a larger parent parcel of about 728 acres; the broader parcel was reduced by prior settlement to 12 lots subject to a minor-subdivision process. The annexation request covers four lots as the first phase; the petitioner said a second phase will follow after the legal description is finalized.
Council members and staff discussed serviceability and infrastructure. Staff noted that existing infrastructure in the nearby colony can serve the new lots. The motion to adopt the resolution was moved by Kenneth and seconded by Chris; the council signaled assent with ayes and no recorded opposing votes.
The council then dismissed as the Mountain Regional Water board and reconvened its regular session.
