During its Sept. 18 meeting the Summit County Council carried multiple procedural votes. The council appointed Megan Reacher to fill a Snyderville Basin Planning Commission vacancy (term expires Feb. 28, 2025) and approved a resolution appointing Will Seggos to the Snyderville Basin Cemetery District Board of Trustees to serve an unexpired term through Dec. 31, 2026.
As the Board of Equalization the council denied a 501(c)(3) property‑tax exemption application for Pinecliff Camp and Retreat Center because the application named an entity that did not match county property‑ownership records; the denial motion was moved by Roger and seconded by Tanya. The board also approved the assessor’s recommended adjustments contained in the packet.
Council members approved routine meeting minutes and several advisory‑committee reappointments and nominations by voice vote. Staff and councilors indicated follow‑up contact would be made to appointees and that public notice on appointments would be posted.
