The Select Board voted Dec. 17 to appoint Kaye Bell of Old Lancaster Road to the Sudbury Housing Trust for a term expiring May 31, 2025.
Kaye Bell described more than a decade living in Sudbury and about eight years of municipal involvement, saying she values the housing trust’s work to preserve community diversity and expand homeownership opportunities. "I'm interested in the work that they do because I really do value living in a community that welcomes residents of diverse backgrounds and stations in life," Bell said.
Board members and a housing-trust representative reported that the trust had unanimously recommended her appointment. Several board members praised Bell as a dedicated volunteer; one board member said he would vote no, citing concern about a concentration of the same individuals on multiple town committees. The motion to appoint Bell was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
Bell thanked the board for the opportunity and the Select Board welcomed her to the trust.
