ALIEF ISD board approves superintendent’s 2024–25 evaluation instrument and performance-pay metrics

The ALIEF ISD Board of Trustees reconvened in open session at 10:48 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2025, and approved the superintendent’s 2024–25 performance-evaluation instrument and the accompanying performance-pay metrics as presented in closed session.

Board President opened the item and asked for a motion to approve the instrument and metrics “subject to performance pay for 2024–25” and “pursuant to paragraph 5.I of the superintendent’s second amended employment agreement,” language that was read into the record by the president. Trustee Truong moved the motion; Trustee Williams seconded.

The president called for a voice/hand vote and announced the tally in the transcript as six in favor, zero against and zero abstentions (transcript text: "We have 6 4 0 against, 0 abstention"). The president then stated, "The item passes." The motion therefore carried in open session. The meeting adjourned at 10:49 p.m.
