Nurse reports measles scare cleared, ongoing COVID cases, and sets flu‑clinic schedule

She also maintains weekly vaccination clinics at the senior center and monthly blood‑pressure clinics at Coolidge Apartments.
Board members asked about treatment and camp follow‑up; Katie said the initial antibiotic (Keflex) was ineffective, the case was cultured, and the child was successfully treated with Bactrim. The nurse said staff will follow up with the camp’s director and nurse and emphasized wound‑care education and advisories for natural swimming areas to reduce infection risk.
The board thanked nursing staff and noted continued attention to COVID and seasonal vaccinations.
