The Town of Sudbury Sustainability Committee voted unanimously to approve a $5,569 change order to complete interior lighting retrofits at several municipal buildings, members said.
Committee members and staff told the group that an intended LED retrofit for some fixtures — notably large pendant fixtures at the library — was no longer available, requiring selection of alternative LED fixtures and small additional work (dimmers, switches and finishing touches). Staff described the change order as a routine, relatively small cost to finish the project.
Danny (staff) said the total cost to finish the remaining items was $5,569. After brief discussion that no further debate was necessary, the committee called the vote; recorded responses were “Aye” from Mary, Olga, Venk, Jim and Rami. The motion passed unanimously.
Staff said they will return with final fixture selections for the library pendants and bring cost details if larger changes are required. The committee’s approval covers completing the work at Town Hall, the Flynn Building, Fire Station 2, the police station and the library’s non‑pendant fixtures.
The committee moved on to other agenda items after the vote.
