A Town of Sudbury committee met Nov. 20 to begin scheduling community programs and to assign volunteer "event captains" to coordinate logistics, outreach and town liaisons for next year’s slate of activities.

At the start of the meeting a resident and parade volunteer, Doug Harps, asked who would liaise with the Fourth of July parade committee; the facilitator replied that the committee would name a point of contact and said they would reach out to the Sudbury Chamber and the parade organizers. "I am a resident of Sudbury, born and grew up here, still live here," Harps said when introducing his request for a clear line of communication. The committee agreed to use the parade committee email (parade@Sudbury.org) as a primary contact channel.
