Residents complain about audio, meeting timing; ask presenters to return and request more funding for town concerts

Several residents used their public‑comment time to press the council on meeting access, presenter follow‑up and event funding.

Pam, a member of the public, criticized the scheduling and accessibility of the special meeting, saying, "I think this is the pits having this special meeting on a Friday" and noting the legal notice went out two days earlier; she also said presenters at a prior Recology presentation did not return to answer questions and urged that presenters come back to answer questions on the record. Staff replied that non‑agenda public comments had already been handled and offered to restart Pam’s three minutes.

Miguel told the council the audio was "really breaking up" and that remote participants were "cutting in and out," asking the town to consider a sound engineer or microphone fixes so everyone can hear. Later in the meeting Miguel asked the council to consider allocating an additional $10,000 to restore the concert series to the greater performer quality the town had in previous years: "I'd like the council to allocate an additional $10,000 so we can go back to the quality of the concerts that we had before." Council members acknowledged the concern and said the budget is tight this year but suggested the request could be discussed in future budget deliberations.

Taken together, the comments prompted staff to offer technical follow‑up and to confirm that any substantive presenter responses would be provided or brought back to the public record in a future meeting.
