Calistoga — The City Council on Sept. 10 authorized a professional services agreement that will provide up to $390,000 over three years to UpValley Family Center for services to Calistoga residents, and asked the center to deliver periodic reports to the council.
Mayor Williams explained the agreement and said he supported the expenditure while requesting regular reporting to ensure accountability for city funds. Marcela Rodriguez of the family center told council that semiannual diversion reports are already provided and that an annual report could be scheduled for presentation to the council.
Council discussed reporting frequency and staff indicated an annual report would be compatible with other regular reporting obligations; the council conditioned approval on receiving an annual report from the family center. A motion to approve the expenditure with that condition passed unanimously.
Next steps: the contract will be executed and the family center will provide periodic reports to the council as requested.
