Frenship ISD presents Memorial High staff recommendations including lead counselor and new coaches

Frenship ISD administrators presented recommendations to hire several staff members for the new Memorial High School leadership and programs, describing candidates' experience and qualifications.

Principal Chelsea Campbell recommended Nikki Morrison for Memorial lead counselor, saying Morrison brings more than 15 years of counseling experience, eight of those at the district, and holds a master of education in school counseling. "We are incredibly fortunate to have Nikki become a part of our memorial leadership team," Campbell said.

The board also heard a recommendation for Michelle Lesson as Panther band director. Administrators noted Lesson earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in music education from Texas Tech University, has served 17 years as a band director and has spent the past three years with Frenship ISD.

Jason Richards was presented as the recommended head football coach. Presenters cited more than 20 years of coaching experience, including five years at Muleshoe High School and prior stops on the coast and in San Angelo; Richards introduced family members in attendance and thanked the board for the opportunity.

At the time of the presentation board members thanked interview teams and volunteers involved in recruiting and preparing candidates.
