The Victoria ISD board used its awards segment to spotlight career and technical education achievements, honoring four Bridge program graduates and announcing that VISD is one of 38 districts statewide to earn the CTE District of Distinction designation.
Dina Justice, VISD’s career and technical education director, introduced students who described pathway experiences in P‑TECH, computer science and health science. Senior Journey Martinez told trustees the program helped her progress toward a teaching career by providing practicum and aide opportunities. Student Manuk (Monuk) Agrawal said the computer science pathway offered real programming experience, internships and college credit opportunities.
Board members praised the program as a local teacher pipeline and workforce launchpad and were told the district’s partnership with Victoria College supports dual‑credit and workforce pathways.
