At the start of office hours, Tracy Riddle of the Tennessee Department of Education told attendees the department has a new policy barring AI meeting tools from state meetings. "We can no longer allow any AI tools such as Otter to join our state meetings," she said, adding that if an AI tool joins, "our team will have to remove that." The announcement was given as part of opening remarks and preceded the technical and rostering guidance for the Universal Reading Screener.
