Transportation analysis showed the proposed plan would require adding one additional bus in the Desert Color area in the short term because current runs are near capacity; staff said routing changes could mitigate travel time differences for some students and that costs may largely balance over time as growth patterns shift. Board members and staff discussed parent concerns about students being bused past a closer campus, possible route adjustments to avoid that, and the political sensitivity of moving students from one school to another.
