City attorney read the title and purpose of resolution 6175 and explained the certification confirms the canvas of returns and that the election department completed the necessary verification. The council then proceeded with the ceremonial swearing-in: several elected officials took the oath administered by visiting officials and local leaders. Newly sworn members offered short remarks thanking family and constituents.
