Ryan reported the 24‑inch transmission main installed this summer is connected, tested and online, with one inner tie left to line beneath the railroad. The Southeast Stevens water main replacement began pipe installation and is scheduled to continue through the winter weather window. Ryan said a request for qualifications for an updated water master plan will be issued after the New Year and a five‑year pavement management RFQ has attracted four proposals with interviews likely in early December.
On stormwork, Ryan said the current storm pipelining program is nearly complete; the multi‑year lining effort began in 2017 and about 5,800 feet remain. The Cochran/Trues Tarver storm project wrapped up using grant funds and the West Bradford ADA project came in about 3% under bid. Summing several programs, staff reported that over the last three years engineering staff completed about $25.3 million in capital improvement projects and generally delivered projects under bid.
Commissioners asked whether the draft water master plan would return to the commission for review; staff confirmed it will. With few additional questions, the commission closed the informational session and adjourned; the next meeting was announced for Dec. 12, 2024.
