Council member Jack (speaker 3) moved adoption of a 1,500-square-foot exemption and the motion was later amended and substituted to a 1,200-square-foot exemption; the final motion passed on a 6-0 roll call. Council also directed the city manager to report back on the application of the new section and on the zoning administrator27s use of discretionary authority no later than November 2025.
