Mason County swears in David Mayhaire to Industrial Development Authority

The Mason County Fiscal Court on Aug. 13 appointed and swore in David Mayhaire as a new member of the Mason County Industrial Development Authority.
Judge McNeil introduced Mayhaire as the appointee to replace Kenny Piticus and noted Mayhaire is a longtime resident and local developer. The judge administered the oath prescribed by Section 228 of the Kentucky Constitution: "I do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of The United States and the constitution of this commonwealth ... and that I will faithfully execute to the best of my ability the office of board member of the Mason County Industrial Development Authority of Mason County, Kentucky, according to law." Mayhaire responded, "I do," completing the swearing-in.
Tyler McKibby, the county's economic development director, joined the presentation. The court welcomed Mayhaire and noted he will serve going forward on the authority's board.
No vote was recorded against the appointment during the meeting; the oath was administered at the bench and the appointee was congratulated by the court.
