Court members discussed financing options, including local bank loans or US Bank, and the potential to apply proceeds from surplus sales toward principal. The presiding officer moved to purchase two Dodge gas trucks (bid identifiers discussed by staff) under state contract; the motion was seconded and passed on roll call with Commissioners McKay, O'Hearn, Frame and Judge McNeil voting "Yes."
Staff said the purchases are intended to improve reliability for landfill and road operations and to reduce ongoing repair costs on high-mileage equipment. The court directed staff to proceed with procurement under state contract terms and return with any required administrative paperwork for financing and surplus sale scheduling.
