Fiscal Court approves election-equipment reallocation, vendor claims and relocation policy; accepts sheriff's fee-account settlement

County staff introduced a temporary relocation-assistance policy required where federal grant funding applies to senior-living renovations. Staff cited the Federal Relocation Act and regulations at 24 CFR as the governing requirements; the court moved, seconded and adopted the policy by roll-call (Commissioner Kaye, Commissioner O'Byrne and Judge McNeil responding "yes"). The policy was described as necessary to ensure the county's compliance with federal grant conditions for tenant relocation and short-term housing or storage while renovations occur.

Sheriff Patrick reported totals for the 2023 fee account (receipts $1,431,531.88; expenditures $1,421,787.85; excess fees $9,744.03) and said he had turned a covering check over to Treasurer Muse; the court voted to accept the settlement and authorized signatures after the meeting.

All votes were recorded by roll call; no contested outcomes or amendments were reported on these items during the special call.
