Pratt County commissioners approve reserve fund transfers, hires and routine motions at Dec. 16 meeting

Other routine actions approved by voice vote included approval of the minutes from Dec. 9, authorization to pay county vouchers and a motion to not hold the commission meeting scheduled for Dec. 23 (the board agreed to reconvene Dec. 30).
Insurance and year‑end finance notes: Speaker 1 reported a lightning strike at the LEC and said an adjuster indicated no claim had been filed; Speaker 1 estimated the county’s deductible was $10,000 and that the county’s share could be about $31,000. Commissioners discussed using capital-improvement funds to cover the county share and restoring 911 funds that had been used to pay some costs.
