The Stafford County Board of Supervisors on June 4 approved a resolution to amend the real property lease/easement with Milestone Tower Limited Partnership to reflect a minor roadway alignment change at the Aquia Wastewater Treatment Plant (71 Cole Landing Road).
Director of Utilities Chris Edwards explained that the constructed tower and access road sit slightly offset from the original approved easement plat and the county requested an amendment to match the easement to the actual roadway placement. Construction is nearly complete and crews were installing the first antennas at the time of the meeting.
No members of the public spoke during the utilities public hearing on the amendment. Supervisor motion and second were recorded and the board approved proposed resolution R24‑119 by a 6 to 0 vote during the evening session.
What the resolution does: It amends the recorded easement/lease to align the legal description with the roadway and tower location as constructed. The action was procedural and does not change tower use rights beyond the previously authorized construction and lease terms.
