The Warren County Planning Commission approved the final plat for a five‑lot Class B subdivision proposed by Buck Mountain Land LLC, authorizing the chair to sign the plat and directing staff to notify the Board of Supervisors.
Planning staff said the plat meets the County Subdivision Ordinance requirements for a Class B subdivision and that the Warren County Health Department approved well and drain-field locations for each parcel. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) reviewed and approved entrance locations and required entrance improvements onto Route 622 (Buck Mountain Road); agency comments were incorporated onto the plat.
The commission moved, seconded, and approved the requested action by voice vote. Staff asked the applicant to sign the plat documents prior to leaving and said the plat and agency comments are included in the applicant—s packet.
In other business the commission approved the consent agenda (authorization to advertise items for next month) and heard staff updates on the comprehensive plan process, GIS mapping for transportation amendments, and ongoing citizen survey efforts. Commissioners also discussed a separate issue regarding septic and permitting constraints for a Bowling Green school and asked staff to coordinate with VDOT and the health department about temporary or phased occupancy options.
The commission adjourned after brief administrative items.
