Plainview ISD recognizes students for AP achievements and national honors

A district representative read student names and subjects — including Ruben Aguilar (Spanish Language and Culture), Violet Alvarado (English Literature and Composition), Eowyn Thornhill (calculus and AP Scholar), and others — and highlighted one student, Joshua Starkey, who received national first‑generation recognition and a national Hispanic recognition award. The presenter called the academic achievements "quite an accomplishment" and invited a district photo and social‑media post to share the students' success.
Board members applauded and said the district will share the photos on social channels and celebrate the students publicly.
