Dominion Energy brief to Hanover board: PJM open‑window proposals under review; State review will follow

Julie Levitt, Dominion Energy external affairs representative, briefed the board on Dominion's role in the PJM transmission open window and on company reliability initiatives. "We serve 2,700,000 customers in Virginia," Levitt said as part of a short company overview that also noted Dominion's energy portfolio is diverse and includes nuclear, LNG support and ongoing offshore wind work.
Levitt described the PJM open‑window process that ran July–September. She said more than 90 project proposals were submitted and that the Transmission Expansion Advisory Committee (TEAC) will meet in early January to endorse preferred projects. The TEAC recommendation is then sent to the PJM board; Dominion and Levitt expect PJM final approval in mid‑ to late‑February. She emphasized that PJM approval is one step: each project will still require State Corporation Commission review and likely several years and public‑input opportunities before local construction could start.
Board members had no questions on the spot; Levitt offered to share links to TEAC meetings and to stay engaged with county staff and supervisors as projects advance through the PJM and state review processes.
