The King George County Service Authority on Tuesday approved two construction contracts totaling roughly $14.7 million to upgrade local wastewater infrastructure and to decommission the Perkins Corner wastewater plant.
Staff said American Contracting and Environmental Services was the low bidder on the Hopyard Wastewater Treatment Plant and pump station upgrades with a contract amount of $6,294,033, work funded in part through a Virginia Department of Health ARPA grant. The authority authorized its designee to execute the agreement, subject to county attorney approval, and passed the motion by roll call.
