Myers said the company held a meeting at the high school on August 5 and that the permit application appeared on August 6, raising questions about whether Greenridge had adequately responded to requests for information. "What are we doing with these people in my county if they can't follow directions?" she asked on the record.
David Lance spoke about repeated noise disturbances from a local facility, recounted contacting deputies and being satisfied they investigated, and urged supervisors to remember they are elected to serve residents. "All of you work for us," Lance said, calling on the board to take citizens’ concerns seriously.
Chair and staff reminded speakers that the board will not respond directly during public comment but will route questions through the county administrator and provide follow-up as appropriate.
